3. Chemical Characteristic

Dual functional groups:

  1. Allyl vinyl group (CH₂=CH–): Free radical copolymerizable monomer
  2. Sulfonate anion (–SO₃Na): Strong hydrophilicity, surface adsorptionCompatible with acrylic monomers, acrylamide, acrylic acid; Incompatible with strong oxidants and concentrated strong acid.

4. Typical Industrial Applications

  1. Electroplating: Main brightener for acid nickel plating; grain refiner for Cu, Zn, Ni-Co alloy baths
  2. Polymer Industry: Third monomer for acrylic fiber; co-monomer for water treatment scale inhibitors & dispersants
  3. Textile Auxiliaries: Antistatic agent, dye levelling agent
  4. Emulsion polymerization modifier & fine chemical intermediate

5. Recommended Dosage

  • Nickel electroplating bath: 0.1 – 5 g/L
  • Water treatment copolymer synthesis: 2 – 8 mol% of total monomers
  • Acrylic fiber production: 3 – 5 wt% addition

6. Packaging Specification

  • 35% Liquid: 25kg HDPE plastic drum, 1000L IBC tote tank
  • 99% Powder: 25kg plastic-lined woven bag / aluminium foil vacuum bag

7. Storage & Handling Instructions

  1. Store in cool, dry, ventilated warehouse, away from direct sunlight and heat sources
  2. Liquid grade: Prevent freezing below 0℃ to avoid crystallization blockage
  3. Powder grade: Keep tightly sealed to prevent moisture absorption and caking
